Why do they do this? Who cares! It's a giant gord smashing a van! Here's more from CBS 4:There may be a pumpkin shortage in some parts of the country but that didn’t stop an Oregon community from enjoying its annual pumpkin drop.
A truly gigantic gourd which weighted nearly one-thousand pounds was hoisted one-hundred feet into the air before it was dropped onto an empty bus.
The reason? To celebrate fall and simply watch the giant gourd disintegrate on impact.
It happened Saturday at Fir Point Farms in Aurora, Oregon, south of Portland. The plump pumpkin destroyed the front of the bus.Labels: pumpkin drop, smashing stuff
