Mother and Daughter Slap Bus Bully

It looks like this mother and her daughter had had enough of a bully on a school bus in St. Petersburg, Florida. Here's the full story from CBS4:

CBS) ST. PETERSBURG, Fl. In St. Petersburg, Florida, police arrested 34-year-old Karen Barber and her 15-year-old daughter each on one count of simple battery. Police said the mother boarded a school bus headed for Riviera Middle School Friday morning. Bill Proffitt, spokesman for the St. Petersburg police, said, "The bus driver slightly opened the bus doors and the mother identified herself. She kind of pushed the doors open."

Surveillance video showed when Barber, wearing a red shirt, got on the bus, she confronted a 13-year-old boy who had allegedly punched her 12-year-old son on the bus the day before. Proffitt said it appeared Barber was about to leave the school bus but then she turned back to the boy and poked him in the forehead. The tape showed barber also slapped the boy on the left side of his face.

"She slapped him one time, followed by the daughter who slapped him twice," the spokesman said. The bus driver asked barber and her daughter to leave. Students on the bus cheered as they left. Andrea Zahn, a Pinellas County school spokesperson, said, "Having people get on the bus would not be appropriate." She added the bus driver had been reassigned, pending an internal review. Zahn said if a student is being bullied, parents should not confront students directly. "We would certainly hope that parents would report those incidents to their school administration office." The mother and daughter could face up to six months in jail for hitting the student.

The Simpsons New Opening Clip for Season 19

The Simpsons decided to build on the summer success of their movie in the opening click to the first new episode of the season. The Simpsons Movie ended with the town nearly destroyed so what better way to start than to show the town cleaning up as Bart rolls through on his skateboard. Clever, clever. Sure to be a classic scene as well as an early promotion for the forthcoming DVD.

Martha Stewart of Rednecks: The Huntress Kills a Squirrel and Serves as Snack

WARNING: This one is not for sensitive stomachs! She's being called Martha Stewart for rednecks and in this video, the Huntress, Heidi Wilson, goes out hunting with her son to catch squirrel for an afternoon snack, a 'squirrel melt' ::shutters a little::. This video made our list because the kid in this video, in his drugged out state got out of the car after the chase and appears to still be yelling at police when they finally take him down with the taser. Also, there is a great moment where a police officer appears to dive down for no reason. Overall, a classic video.



#3 Taser Video on the Web--UCLA Student Gets Tasered at Library

It looks like University of Florida student Andrew Meyer wasn't the first student to be tasered on a college campus. A UCLA student was tasered several times when university police wanted to see his ID after hours. It would have been higher on the list if it wasn't more than 6 minutes long. The video was shot on a cell phone camera and is pretty shaky but a good taser video anyways.



#2 Taser Video on the Web--Erik Estrada and Other Celebs Get Tased For Reality Show

Even though the CBS reality show Armed and Famous wasn't exactly a hit except for this one clip where the celeb recruits had to be tasered in order to use a taser gun, as is law. The best/worst experience had to be for former 70's hunk and Chip's star Erik Estrada when a taser dart hit on his testicle causing some for some...err..pain. BONUS! Latoya Jackson gets tased as well.

"The View" Co-Host Doesn't Know if World is Round or Flat - Sherri Sheperd

Oh wow. Well, Barbara Walters sure know how to pick 'em, doesn't she. Here's the story from The Daily Background:
I can’t believe this. One of the co-hosts of The View, Sherri Sheppherd, said she didn’t believe in evolution so co-host Whoopi Goldberg asked her if she believed the world was flat or round. She wasn’t able to answer, using the excuse that she was too busy being a good little housewife to think about complicated things like matters that science settled hundreds of years ago. Amazing.

Partial transcript:

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Is the world flat?

SHERRI SHEPHERD: Is the world flat? (laughter)

GOLDBERG: Yes.

SHEPHERD: …I Don’t know.

GOLDBERG: What do you think?

SHEPHERD: I… I never thought about it, Whoopi. Is the world flat? I never thought about it.

BARBARA WALTERS: You’ve never thought about whether the world was round or flat?

SHEPHERD: I tell you what I’ve thought about. How I’m going to feed my child–

WALTERS: Well you can do both.

University of Florida Student Tasered During John Kerry Hall Meeting

We didn't know that former presidential candidate was actually up to anything until we saw this video from a town hall meeting at the University of Florida. It appears that this nut-case of a kid asked one too many questions (he can be heard asking if Kerry if he was a member of Skull and Bones Society at Yale) when he was ushered away from the microphone. Too bad that local police and security were really gung-ho on protecting the Senator. Six officers tried to restrain the guy who kept yelling "what did I do?" and was promptly tasered. Shocking video! All of these kids getting tasered just need to get off the crazy bus back to reality.

Stewie and Brian Griffin's Opening Song at the Emmy's

Here's the first of three clips of truly the only worthwhile parts of the three hour crap-fest known as the Emmy's as hosted by Ryan Seacrest. It all looked promising when Stewie and Brian come on to riff the TV crowd with their song and dance bit "You'll Find it On TV." It may not be the funniest Family Guy song but I'm sure it saved us from the horrible comedic timing of Seacrest ::shutters::.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert Present the Emmy for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy to Loser Steve Carrell

We don't know if this bit was improvised or not but it was probably the funniest moment at Sunday's lackluster Emmy awards when The Daily Show's Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report's Stephen Colbert were to present the Emmy for best lead actor in a comedy show. The winner, Ricky Gervais of Extras! didn't attend the awards show so instead of accepting it themselves, they gave it to their friend and losing nominee Steve Carrell of The Office. Awesome job guys!

Sally Field's Uncensored Emmy Acceptance Speech

The Fox censors got a bit trigger happy when cutting away from presenters and winners at Sunday's Emmy awards. Sally Field's acceptance speech was cut when she said "God damn war." Allegedly, that phrase may not even be on the list of items required to be bleeped by the FCC. But they didn't even bleep her! They just cut to a shot of the ceiling. Really? As if Ryan Seacrest as host wasn't already a sign of bad judgment. I doubt they'll be winning any awards for this broadcast. Those Canadians didn't wimp out though. Highway Accident Caught Live on Morning Show Traffic Cam

You never really know how well your morning newscasters can improvise until they report on something really unexpected happens on live TV. For the Houston NBC local 2 channel, the newscasters were just reporting on how a stalled truck on the Northwest Freeway at Senate was going to cause traffic to slow and then BAM! the truck gets smashed into by at least one car. A bit flustered they muddled their way through.

Three Cars Catch on Fire On Top of Parking Garage In Philadelphia

Another wonderful job today by the firefighters in the City of Brotherly Love as they battled a fire on top of a parking garage at 15th and Vine. Here's some great footage from a helicopter of them putting out the blaze. No one was hurt but a bunch of people had a holy sh*t moment when they realized they'd never get that stanky smoke smell out of their car.

Miss Venezuela Crown Stolen During Pageant

What is going on with beauty pageants lately? There was a little crazy in the air at the Miss Venezuela pageant. Right after the winner was crowned, a man jumped on stage and attacked one of the contestants, stole her crown, and sat on the throne. Apparently he wanted the contestant from his state to win. He probably could have used his enthusiasm more wisely by putting Vaseline on the shoes of the other contestants. Hey, it's a start.

British Bank Northern Rock Has Panic Stricken Customers

In a true "It's a Wonderful Life" moment, customers of British bank Northern Rock rushed the bank, withdrawing about $2 billion dollars after the bank asked for a loan from the government. Another Young Lady Forced to Cover Up on Southwest Airlines Flight

What is up with these flight attendants telling the ladies that they can't wear sundresses and short skirts during the flights? It has happened not once, but twice in the last week! Think of the other passengers people! This video shows clips from the Today Show and a local affiliate of both women whose outfits were deemed inappropriate. Now you tell me, what's more offensive these women's outfits or a baby crying and screaming for the entire flight? Exactly.

Man in Wheelchair Tasered in Court After Attacking Attorney, Brought Back in Strapped to Chair & Wearing Spit Guard - Wendall Hollingsworth


Legally insane, or the lead contender for the 2008 Dumbass of the Year? Meet Wendall Hollingsworth, of Columbus, Ohio, accused of holding churchgoers at gunpoint during a robbery. He's seen being wheeled into court in a wheelchair, then for no reason starts kicking his court appointed attorney, before being tasered by a sheriff's deputy. And wait 'til you see the get up that had him when they finally brought him back into court! Here's more from Ohio News:
During the struggle to restrain him, a Franklin County Sheriff's deputy was inadvertently shocked by his partner's Taser.
Hollingsworth was immediately removed from the courtroom, but returned short time later, heavily restrained and wearing a spit guard.
Weisman and Judge Julie Lynch attempted to continue with the proceedings, but Hollingsworth interrupted and demanded to be taken back to his cell.
"Take me back to my cell," Hollingsworth said. "I don't want to be part of this farce. This is a farce. Why won't they let me fire you?"
Hollingsworth continued with an obscenity-laced rant against his attorney and the judge, 10TV News reported.
At one point, an attorney said the maximum sentence Hollingsworth could receive is 104 years.
"Give it to me now. Give me 250 years right now," Hollingsworth yelled. "It's unfair. How the (expletive) are you going to treat me fair? Aren't you a catholic? I'm charged with robbing a Catholic church."

"Leave Britney Spears Alone" Video - Crying Fan Chris Crocker, 19

Is it fake or is it real? Train Wreck! Britney Spears Performance at MTV Video Music Awards Universally Panned - 9/9/2007

For her much anticipated comeback, could Britney Spears have looked any less enthusiastic at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night? (Some described it as looking like a stripper on her first night on the job.) The performance was almost universally panned and it was, to say the least, difficutl to watch. Here's what Entertainment Weekly had to say:
I should have known that Britney Spears' big Video Music Awards performance would have been uncomfortable to watch the moment it opened, with that closeup of the weave tracks in the back of her head (seriously, MTV camera folks, didja think that was a flattering angle?). But I wasn't quite prepared for the awkward mess in store, as Britney gallumphed around like a zombie while lip-synching to her new single, "Gimme More."
I was really rooting for Britney to be awesome and get the show off on the right foot. And by all rights, she should have rocked -- "Gimme More" has been received amazingly well (it's no "Toxic," but admit it, it's better than you expected) -- and we have all those fond memories of Brit Brit from VMAs past (with the python, with Madonna and Xtina). But instead of watching a sexy, exciting performance -- a resounding statement that yes, she IS Britney, bitch -- I saw a tentative, confused-looking girl who could barely muster the energy to mouth along with the backing track, let alone work those stilleto boots. Britney, if you're gonna lip-synch, at least be entertaining!

Everyone knows the best way to get your protest heard is to bombard TV macho man Geraldo Rivera. On his Fox news TV show, Geraldo at Large, 'truthers' protested the show. Truthers believe that 9/11 was an inside job and wanted to TV big shot to investigate as he is talking about a woman who left her child inside of a hot car. Even if you think the 'truthers' are nut-jobs, it's pretty funny to see Geraldo get flustered by the protesters.

Comedian Jerry Lewis Uses Gay Slur During MDA Telethon

What is up with comedians? Did Jerry Lewis not see what happened to Isaiah Washington, Mel Gibson, or Michael Richards?? France's favorite comedian let the F word slip (references anti-gay speech) in hour 18 of his MDA marathon. He later issued an apology saying he didn't mean to offend anyone. Take a look at the footage that has gotten this old guy in trouble.

John McCain Calls Concord High Student "You Little Jerk"

Uh oh, someone got old man McCain mad the other day at forum in New Hampshire. Like a little brat, a kid asked the Senator from Arizona if he was worried about getting alzheimers or other age related ailments, or die, if he were elected. McCain's response was reasonable, referencing his 95 year old mother and his overall fitness, them promptly ends by saying "you little jerk!" Ha ha! We love it...it's like poking a bear in a cage. Someone do it again!

Who doesn't love a good high school prank? This one is tamer than most but still packs a punch. Darby and Davidson were playing in football a few weekends ago and someone on the Davidson side thought it would be a good idea to hold up signs to say how much Darby sucks. Saucy Little Girl Gives Dad the Finger When She Doesn't Want to Share

We like seeing that today's youth are taking to heart the lessons of passive aggressive behavior! Much like the little girl who would kick the ass of any monster coming her way, this darling angel just doesn't want to share her chips. Her dad keeps asking for her to share and she obliges momentarily but pushed to far, she gives her papa the birdy and walks away. Ah, kids!

Two Stunt Planes Collide During Polish Air Show

The more we look at videos, the more we are convinced that air shows are just a bad idea. In this video from over the weekend at an air show in Poland. Here's the info that accompanies the video:

TWO planes disintegrate in a mid-air collision after a flying show stunt goes tragically wrong. Both pilots died instantly as the small planes slammed into each other watched by thousands of horrified spectators. The crash happened at the Radom Air Show in Poland yesterday and involved two planes from the Zelazny aerobatics team.The pilots were supposed to be carrying out a tricky manoeuvre, missing each other by inches. But they misjudged the distance, causing their two red aircraft to collide and burst into fragments. The tragedy was broadcast on local TV. Major Wieslaw Grzegorzewski, of the Polish Air Force, said last night: "There are no reports of injuries among those on the ground. "As the television footage showed, the collision happened well away from the crowd."

Vintage Beauty Queen! Miss Hawaii Doesn't Leave the Islands Much

In the wake of the horrible answer given my Miss Teen South Carolina during the Miss Teen USA pageant has opened up the vault of old pageant horrors. This video from some time in the mid-eighties (see:big hair, sparkles, Alan Thicke) shows a Miss Hawaii talking about the diverse beauty of the United States but she could only think of the great things in Hawaii. We get it, the mainland sucks!

University of Michigan's Football Loss to Appalachian State

Ah to be a young, arrogant football player for the University of Michigan. Too bad they got their asses handed to them this weekend by Appalachian State's tough as nails team. The #5 Wolverines almost pulled it off at the very end but managed to suck just enough to lose it all. They lost at the Big House too! Here's a 5 minute recap for those of you who missed the football goodness.
