Melbourne High School Volleyball Hazing Video?

"Volleyball Hazing" Video Update - It ended Wednesday night with an email from the Director of the ominous sounding "Office of District and School Security." It rambled over three paragraphs and still failed to answer any of our simple questions: Is this your school? Are these your kids? If so, do the actions contained in this video that was publicly posted on YouTube for the world to see violate your hazing policy or state law? If not, what BASIS did you use for that determination because the hazing experts we showed that video clip to DID think it was hazing . . . albeit a mild form? Nothing. Local media bailed on us and as good as our sources were on the ground it wasn't enough to continue with the story.
So, in the end, it turns out that hazing is a lot like the Chinese government and their underage gymnasts: if we say you're 16, then, DAMM IT, you're 16 and here's the forged paperwork to prove it! As some colleges have pulled on us in the past, if the administration says it's not hazing, it's not hazing, regardless of what the evidence might show. So, you win. If you want to ignore the obvious problem you have, that's your call. I can't force you to look at what's happening under your noses . . . but don't be surprised if it happens again.
