New York Time Gets Rick Rolled by College Basketball Video
Have you been Rick Rolled by your friends or loved ones? Then you know the pain and anguish caused by an unexpected Rick Astley video. The mother of all Rick Rolls came when the New York Times got word that an impromptu Rick Roll occurred during an Eastern Washington University's women's basketball game. The proof was this convincing You Tube video. Too bad it was the NY Times who got Rick Rolled as the You Tube video was actually carefully planned and occurred before the game even started. Ah well...it's not like we expect newspapers to get their facts straight or anything.

A soccer fan in Spain wanted to show his disgust for Armando, the goalie of the Athletic Bilbao team after he allowed the second goal of the game against Real Betis. So, he does what any loyal soccer fan does: he calmly walks down the stairs to the edge of the field separating the stands from the field, waits until the goalie turns to get an out-of-bounds ball, then throws a plastic bottle filled with liquid at the guy.
Unfortunately, his aim was better than the team's and he nailed Armando right in the face, dropping him to his knees and opening a cut on his face. Security guards immediately grabbed the fan, who--if you watch the video--just calmly turns and starts walking up the stairs after his toss, as if that's exactly what he intended to do. At that point the referee also called the game, fearing additional hooligan violence. If you watch the clip, they show the toss a couple of times at the beginning, then a couple of goals being scored, and then back to the bottle . . . and it's all in Spanish, but I think you can tell pretty well what's going on.Labels: dumbass, fan violence, soccer

News Reporter Attacked While Covering Murder Investigation
A few people were not too happy to see CBS' WSPA in South Carolina reporter Charmayne Brown and her news crew filming a report on the murder case involving Michael Shane Howell, who's accused of killing his grandfather, 73-year-old Tommy Howell. After yelling at cameras to go away, it appears that a woman charged at the reporter and dragged her to the ground where several other women joined in punching the reporter. What makes this story particularly disturbing is that the reporter and her crew are African American and the attackers all white women who didn't skimp on the racial slurs during the attack. Good Day New York Anchor and Reporter Show How Much They Hate Eachother on Live TV
Ha ha. It is almost like an episode of Family Guy with this real live anchor and reporter trading angry shots on live TV. The reporter, Ollie, was covering a tenant/landlord dispute over an elevator in Chelsea. At one point the anchor, Jim, suggests he come down there and teach Ollie how to be a reporter. It's ugly and wonderful!
