Drunk Driver Rear Ends Bus Full of Fire Fighters Near St. Petersburg
It's never good to drink and drive but it's even worse when you hit someone and they happen to work for the government...like a bus full of firefighters for example. This security video shows this idiot ramming into a bus that firefighters were exiting. The only one injured was the driver. Donroy Merrival Bites Off the Nose of Matthew Osing During Fight in Iowa City
It's so nice when friends can argue over something and only one of them loses their nose? Apparently Donroy Merrival just couldn't get past an alcohol-fueled argument between him and his friend Matthew Osing. Here's the scoop on this pirate-like fight.Donroy Merrival was charged Tuesday with willful injury stemming from the July 24 fight. He also faced charges in an unrelated incident a couple of days later.
Authorities said he was drinking with another man when they started arguing and the other man hit him with a shovel. They say Merrival responded by biting off the man's nose and part of his lip.
"He's a heavy drinker and sometimes when he drinks he changes and gets real nasty," the injured man, Matthew Osing, told KCRG-TV.
He acknowledged hitting Merrival with a shovel, saying, "He was crouched down ready to pounce on me and he was scaring me. ... He jumped up and grabbed me by my face and grabbed my nose and bit it off." The nose was not recovered but police say Merrival didn't think he swallowed it.
"I don't know if he swallowed it or if my dogs might have eaten it, I don't know," Osing said. Both men were taken to the hospital for treatment. Police Sgt. Troy Kelsay said the victim was not justified in hitting Merrival with a shovel in the first place and it is possible more charges could be filed.

Indiana Jones Star Shia LaBeouf Arrested on Suspcion of DUI After Injury Causing Accident
Reckless driving and DUIs are just for heiresses and B list stars anymore! Up-and-coming it boy Shia LaBeouf has joined the DUI club as he was arrested on suspicion of DUI this past weekend. Not only was he allegedly drunk, he was broadsided when trying to turn left and injured his hand so badly that it needed surgery. Looks like someone is headed for a round of PSAs and big ole apologies.

Driver Registers a 'Comatose' .491 During Breathalyzer for DUI
Lincoln, Rhode Island may now be home to the man with the highest Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) ever recorded. Stanley Kobierowski was arrested early Tuesday after he drove his car into a highway message board on Interstate 95 in Providence. Oh dear Stan. He sustained minor injuries from the crash but is lucky to be alive with a BAC of six times the legal limit. He is a drinking freak of nature.

Passed-Out Dad Caught Behind the Wheel With Toddlers In Car - "Dave, They Are Taking the Kids!"
"Father of the Year" Finalist, anyone? Oh yeah, when you are so drunk that you pass out once you somehow get yourself, your also drunk buddy and your three little kids to the gas station, that says something. And it makes for a great police video, as well, because for some reason, they don't look kindly at drunk driving, much less DUI with small children in the vehicle. The video is below, but here's more on the story from WFTV:David Novick, his friend and Novick's three kids managed to get to the gas station safe and sound, driving a couple blocks from his home down SR-50. He went there to buy cigarettes and passed out with his children, all under five years old, in the car.
Novick never saw the police coming. The 37-year-old Titusville man was out cold when they showed up. His three children were unbuckled in the back seat of the parked car. Police questioned whether there was something more than alcohol involved.
The single father was so out of it, not police, not a slap in the face and not even police removing his children could get him to wake up.
"Dave, they are taking the kids," Novick's friend told the passed-out dad.
When he finally did get out of the car, police said Novick failed a sobriety test and a breathalyzer indicated he had a blood alcohol level of .152, nearly twice the legal limit. He was arrested and charged with DUI, driving with a license suspended and, because there were three children in the car, three counts of child neglect.Labels: arrested, drunk, father of the year

Soccer Referee in Belarus is Banned for Life After Trying to Referee Drunk
Even in Europe it seems that they don't take too highly to sports officials showing up for work drunk. It sounds like Sergei Shmolik was regarded as one of the finest referee's of the sport, that is until he showed up to a game recently and tried to referee though visibly drunk. Drunk Driver Rescued From Car Before Two Trains Hit It
Another reason why you shouldn't be an artard and drive drunk. Police think that 72 year old Franciszek Chudzik accidentally drove his car onto the train tracks in Hinsdale, Illinois Monday night. A bystander coaxed Franky, who was standing on the tracks, out of harms way right before two trains, going in the opposite direction crushing his car, turning it into nothing more than a flaming ball of scrap metal. No one was hurt and he was charged with two counts of DUI and trespassing on railroad property.

Drunk Stewardess at Airport: "I'm a F***ing Flight Attendant" - Sarah Mills
Here's more CBS 5:A flight attendant was arrested earlier this month for allegedly being drunk on the job and continues to wait for her day in court.
An attorney for Sarah Mills said he needs time to review surveillance video of the woman after she was taken to the Fayette County Detention Center.
That video shows the 26-year-old saying to jailers, "You guys are so dumb, all I did was get drunk." She asks to go home, and even curses. Later, in a holding cell, Mills is captured on tape crawling on the ground, pressing her face into the glass at the bottom of the door.
Police said on Aug. 5, passengers aboard an ASA flight, about to depart Lexington for Atlanta, alerted the pilot that they thought Mills was drunk. Court records show her blood alcohol was point-0-32 when she was arrested at Blue Grass Airport. javascript:void(0)

Dashcam video taken during Chief Kevin Haynes’ arrest shows him apparently swinging at officers when they attempted to arrest him on suspicion of drunken driving.
In the video, several officers wrestle Haynes to the ground and handcuff him.

Drunk Woman Crashes Into Gas Station In Florida
This is why drinking and driving don't mix. Here's the text courtesy of Liveleak.comFlorida State troopers arrested 50-year-old Nancy Dvornik and charged her with Driving Under the Influence and Driving With A Suspended License as a result of the traffic crash at the Shell gas station on the corner of Bird Road and 67 Avenue on Monday.
If convicted of the DUI charge, it will be Dvornik's third DUI Conviction. Miami Dade Fire Rescue said Dvornik, who was heading east on Bird Road in a Ford Super Duty 350, lost control and slammed into a Mercedes Benz near SW 67th Avenue.
Witnesses said the woman's truck then veered into the gas station lot where it hit 3 cars pumping gas, and clipped a gas pump island. Luckily, a quick thinking clerk inside the store immediately turned off the pumps. Dvornik then hit 2 cars parked in front of the mini-mart, before crashing through the store’s front door.Several people were treated for minor injuries. Second Paula Abdul Interview Video - Spokesman Says Not Drunk, Sore Throat
Oh, okay, now we get it. Paula Abdul WASN'T drunk when she did an interview with a Seattle TV station last week to promote American Idol's new season. (See clip below) This blurb comes from TVGrapevine.com :Singer-turned-American Idol judge Paula Abdul called off all her interviews yesterday after clips of an earlier TV appearance appeared to show her drunk.
The video - in which Abdul slurs and bizarrely gesticulates - emerged on online file sharing site YouTube on Thursday, prompting speculation alcohol or medication were to blame.
She subsequently abandoned media engagements scheduled for Friday. However, Abdul's spokesman Jeff Ballard insists tiredness and a minor throat infection, not inebriation, were the causes of the cancellations and earlier odd behavior.
He says, "She was exhausted. This was at the end of three days of press (interviews and appearances), and she has had cameras following her around for a reality TV show too. She was sitting in a room with just a camera and a mic on, and the controllers dropped the sound twice, which is why she rolled her eyes. She never drinks. I have known Paula Abdul since she was 13, and I have never seen her drink ever in my life. And no, she is not on any kind of medication. She was a little tired."
Well, that might have worked if there was only one tape to watch, but what about this second interview with KTVU in San Francisco? She and the host don't seem to be connecting at all, and toward the end he can't even understand her explanation of her new projects, including a reality TV show and movie.
