7 Year Old Ben Mathenia Saved Classmate From Choking
Think about how much you knew when you were 7. You probably were only about as smart as Drake Wilson who thought it was a good idea to put a small action figure in your mouth during school. Lucky, when Drake started choking, his friend Ben Mathenia knew the Heimlich maneuver and got his friend to spit it out before potentially passing out, hitting his head on his desk, and becoming as attentive as a plant. Lets hope Ben doesn't start choking or he'll might be in big trouble if Drake hasn't learned any life saving skills.

Mother and Daughter Slap Bus Bully
It looks like this mother and her daughter had had enough of a bully on a school bus in St. Petersburg, Florida. Here's the full story from CBS4:CBS) ST. PETERSBURG, Fl. In St. Petersburg, Florida, police arrested 34-year-old Karen Barber and her 15-year-old daughter each on one count of simple battery. Police said the mother boarded a school bus headed for Riviera Middle School Friday morning. Bill Proffitt, spokesman for the St. Petersburg police, said, "The bus driver slightly opened the bus doors and the mother identified herself. She kind of pushed the doors open."
Surveillance video showed when Barber, wearing a red shirt, got on the bus, she confronted a 13-year-old boy who had allegedly punched her 12-year-old son on the bus the day before. Proffitt said it appeared Barber was about to leave the school bus but then she turned back to the boy and poked him in the forehead. The tape showed barber also slapped the boy on the left side of his face.
"She slapped him one time, followed by the daughter who slapped him twice," the spokesman said. The bus driver asked barber and her daughter to leave. Students on the bus cheered as they left. Andrea Zahn, a Pinellas County school spokesperson, said, "Having people get on the bus would not be appropriate." She added the bus driver had been reassigned, pending an internal review. Zahn said if a student is being bullied, parents should not confront students directly. "We would certainly hope that parents would report those incidents to their school administration office." The mother and daughter could face up to six months in jail for hitting the student.
