Three WNBA Players and Assistant Coach Rick Mahorn Ejected From Sparks vs. Shock Game
The WNBA is getting fierce people! Players Candace Parker, Plenette Pierson, DeLisha Milton-Jones and Detroit Shock Assistant Coach Rick Mahorn got into a bit of a scuffle in the last five minutes of the Detroit Shock/Los Angeles Sparks game. There were punches and shoving to the level of an NHL brawl. Maybe we'll watch the WNBA from now on...

Traded to Japan? Kyle Kendrick of Philadelphia Phillies Gets Punked
It looks like the good ole sports prank is alive and well, and we don't mean hazing. Second year Pitcher Kyle Kendrick of the Philadelphia Phillies had a major prank pulled on him by Brett Myers when his team, including the manager, convinced him that he was going to be traded to a team in Japan. The best part is that it was caught on camera by Comcast Sports Network. Kyle got Brett back though during a live interview on the Today Show when he got a face full of shaving cream.

Cheerleader Gets Run Over By Football Stampede
A cheerleader in Auburn, Washington found out the hard way not to get in the way of a running football team. It was homecoming and the cheerleaders were holding up one of those cute little banners for the football players to run through on the field. It looked okay but one cheerleader thought something could be adjusted then BAM! she got trampled by the football team. Don't worry, she's okay. Probably really embarrassed but it's not like it'll live on forever on YouTube or anything....

Long Jumper Gets Javelin in the Back
We never thought that the javelin was a particularly safe sport to begin with. You know, with throwing a sharp stick and all. We're surprised they don't just get 'em drunk and up the anty! French Slalom Skier Yannick Bertrant Takes Hit to Groin

In a truly amazing moment in football (or soccer to us Yankees), Paul Robinson managed to score a goal from 80 yards away, more than half-way across the field. This Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper drilled a free kick over the opposing goalie's head and into the net. Watching the clip reminded us of how rewarding it is to play foosball with a 10 year old. Robinson felt pretty good about it, telling Sky Sports News "It was a bit of a freak really. All I had on my mind was putting it up there for our strikers to get on the end of.... Gerald Henderson Breaks Tyler Hansbrough's Nose
North Carolina's men's basketball team celebrated their win over Duke this weekend. But instead of focusing on the win over the Blue Devils, everyone was talking about the elbow to Tyler Hansbrough's nose, with what some are calling a 'cheap shot' from Duke's Gerald Henderon after a rebound shuffle. Hansbrough emerged with a bloody and broken nose. Here's what ESPN.com had to say:Hansbrough had his nose broken after pulling down the rebound of his own missed free throw and going back up for a layup. Henderson leaped to block the shot and after the ball left Hansbrough's hand, Henderson's right elbow appeared to strike the Tar Heels' center in the nose, sending him crumpling to the ground.
Blood poured down Hansbrough's face and onto his lip, his chin and the court, and he had to be restrained from the Blue Devils as he went to the locker room. Henderson was ejected and received an automatic one-game suspension for Duke's ACC tournament opener against North Carolina State.

Figure Skater Jessica Dube Hit In The Face With Skate During Competition
Jessica Dube and Bryce Davison having been skating partners for quite a while. Now most people may not like to watch figure skating because nothing much happens. But in a competition this past week at the Four Continents Figure Skating Championship, Jessica skated a little to close to Bryce while spinning and got whacked in the face by one of his skates. Kid Gets Beaned In Head at Basketball Game
Here's a good clip for why leashes for active children may be a good idea. In this video, a little blond haired child is running around during a basketball game like it was his own playground. Unfortunatley for the kid, he was in the wrong place when a player chucked the basketball across the court at the buzzer in an attempt to make a 3-point.
